MLB recently began testing players for new coronavirus, and several teams announced that some players were positive. At present, MLB is seriously considering closing 30 spring training venues.
Houston astronauts, Philadelphia Phillies and Toronto bluebirds all announced that players had contracted the new coronavirus. Among them, Phillies have closed the training arena after 5 players and 3 employees were diagnosed. Bluebirds and the Arizona giants later announced the closure of the training Arena
MLB announced a few weeks ago that players could return to the stadium for training, with each team segregated as required. But MLB and the players’ Union have yet to set rules for safety and new crown testing for all teams.
The NBA plans to start testing players for new titles next week.
